Beige to pale green in colour, with a slight hazelnut flavour, our hemp flour is made from stone-ground hemp cake. Less fatty than other hemp flours from the seed itself, it is rich in minerals as well as in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Hemp is a variety of cultivated plant from the Cannabaceae family. It has been used by humans since the Neolithic period in many ways, including textiles, construction, rope, paper and oil extraction. As it is derived from oilcake and not from seeds, our hemp flour is low in fat, rich in fibre and high in protein. What’s more, it contains the eight essential amino acids found in human nutrition.
