Tisane latte WR

After a walk in the snow or while watching a movie, this boreal latte herbal tea is sure to give you a dose of comfort.

Preparation

Cuisson

3 minutes

Ingredients

1 bag (1,5 g) Inuit Herbal Tea Arctic blend # 5 (Ukiurtatuq), or any other tea from Quebec*
3/4 cup (180 ml) hot water (96°C)
1 tsp. (5 ml) maple syrup (to taste)
½ cup (125 ml) milk, or plant-based beverage (oat, nut, hemp, etc.)
A pinch of ground pine nard**

Preparation

  • 1
Put the herbal tea bag in a 10 oz mug. Add the hot water and infuse for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove the bag.
  • 2
Meanwhile, with a frother, froth the milk until warm.
  • 3
Add the maple syrup and warm frothed milk to the infused herbal tea.
  • 4
Dust the top with ground pine nard and enjoy.
* Be careful! Hibiscus-based tea tends to make milk curdle. It is important to choose your tea, herbal or not, carefully.

** Pine nard is a boreal spice from here (the sweet fern’s flowered top), which the aroma is similar to cinnamon and cardamom (which can easily replace it in this recipe).
